April 17, 2016 White House

This is a picture of the White House.

April 17,2016, this is a picture at the Arlington cemetery.

I chose this because I wanted people to see how large and pretty this place is.

In the time I have been in DC I have realized that this was a once in a life time trip. But that means you need to make the best of it. That's what I did. It's an experience that is so wonderful worth such a good meaning, but it's not all roses. "You need to risk it to get the biscut!" That quote was from my friend Galen, and risk it is what we did. We walked for miles, but it didn't faze us! This is DC.

United States Holocaust Memorial Museum

On Friday we went to the holocaust museum.  It was really intense and it was horrible, but at the same time it was a great museum.

April 16, 2016, this is a picture of the Washington Monument.

 We saw this on our tour this morning and thought it looked nice.
Today we went on a tour around the monuments and memorials.  We saw the Lincoln memorial and Washington  monument and lots of other places. We also went to the American and natural history museums.  Today was a good day.

This is a picture of the gun that killed Abraham Lincoln.  I am focusing on weapons this trip because I can find many different kinds and they are all very interesting.

Thursday, April 14, these are photographs of victims of the holocaust and this was taken at the Holocaust Memorial Museum.

         
I included this photo because I thought people would like to 
see what the Holocaust Museum looks like while also seeing some of the victims.

"The Boating Party" by Mary Cassat: April 15, 2016

This is a French impressionist painting done by Mary Cassat, called "The Boating Party." I studied this painting in Art class this year, so it was cool to see it in person.

This was in the Center for Education and Leadership within the Petersen House where Abraham Lincoln died. They were books about Abraham Lincoln.
